Dr. Sanjoy Chowdhury is an internationally certified Consultant Cardiologist & heart rhythm specialist (Electrophysiologist) providing compassionate care for heart diseases.
His extensive expertise is in managing heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias) including atrial fibrillation, flutter, supraventricular tachycardias (SVT) including WPW, ventricular arrhythmias etc. with relevant advice, medications or advanced treatments like ablations with exceptional safety and efficacy. He also provides pacemakers for conduction disturbances or failing hearts.
Dr. Chowdhury is committed to empowering patients with knowledge about their heart health for symptoms like palpitation, skipped or extra beats, dizziness, loss of consciousness or syncope or blackouts, chest pain, fatigue or breathing difficulty, inherited or genetic heart problems etc. guiding towards a healthier, active life.
Dr. Chowdhury completed his clinical training in the north-west UK, award-winning doctoral research (PhD) at the University of Manchester and prestigious clinical electrophysiology fellowship in Ontario, Canada. He holds clinical electrophysiology certifications in the UK, Europe, USA and is a recognised specialist worldwide (EHRA Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - ECES, IBHRE Certified Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices Specialist - CEPS-A & CCDS).
He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at Lancashire Cardiac Center, NHS UK in 2024, where he is also the cardiology research lead. He provides private consultations at locations listed below.
